Where value is placed

What is valuable?

I think the modern, US society is placing value on the wrong things and the wrong people. You will detect a bit of jealousy in this post. I think that its sad when a retired, professional basket ball player’s used basket ball shoes get auctioned off for $8 million dollars. That is pretty sad and something wrong to put your value on. However there must have been a buyer with a disposable $8 million dollars that wanted those used shoes. Go figure. I don’t have a spare $8 million dollars. If I did have a spare 8 mill, I wouldn’t be buying some person’s old shoes. But, hey, thats just me.

Who is valuable?

Even though everyone is created equal it seems. Or maybe better said, everyone is equally important and should be valued the same, they are not. There are certain people, mainly in the US, that seem to be worth an un Godly amount of money. People look to them and they get paid un Godly amounts of money. Then again, there are people with skills (like me) and I am poor and can’t seem to make any success with my skills. Go figure. This is I guess where the green eyed monster is coming out of me. I am not super jealous, but I get jealous when I see stupid values being placed on used shoes, just  because of the former owner. I feel that more value should be paid to teachers, doctors than some of the people that are gorging themselves on the system in the US. I mean how much is enough for some people??

I am simply skilled but unsuccessful

I suppose that I put my skills into photography, its the wrong time on the Earth to put any value in the art of photography. Everyone has a smart phone that will take good photos. So I know the present and future of photography has been cheapened. Sure, I have a good website that works. I have good work, but I have zero success in selling any photos or any feedback or recognition. I suppose now I am just taking new photos to maintain my sanity. Maybe without me trying to create new photos, I may no longer be on this Earth.
