Celebrities
What are celebrities?
I feel its something that was made common in the United States. An average person that has a talent in movie, music, art, or other types of media arts. If you can produce content that is appealing to many in the masses, you can be a celebrity. I would like to be a “celebrity” with my photography or graphic design. Since I am older (I am 51, balding, and fat) I don’t really want to be in front of TV cameras. I rather have my graphic design, photography shown in my place. I would not mind at least some recognition of my body of work. My content. I feel also that my content is good, and anyone can enjoy it. I don’t think my content limits any groups or age groups.
Do I respect celebrities?
Yes and no. I do respect certain actors and actresses. I respect the actors the most that do care what roles they play. There are some actors that will do just about any movie or role. Then there are more intelligent actors that are more selective. Not to name drop, I respect Robert Dinero, Arnold, and a few others. What I don’t respect in a celebrity is a self centered jerk that will whore themselves out for just about any role or any product endorsement. In this age of electronic media, I feel that many celebrities turn out to be media whores and grifters. There is a difference between true artwork and mass marketing. A true artist is not a mass marketer.
I feel I am an artist
As people can see on my website, I feel that I have an artistic outlet. I have a desire a drive to produce something of artistic quality. I can’t market myself out of a paper bag. I am horrible at meeting people for networking reasons. This is why I am a starving artist. This is why I am not successful and not earning any feed back or money with my art. There are so many graphic designers and photographers out there that I doubt I will every get any real feed back or success from my artistic creations.
