
Blood sugar
Since August 2021
So since August I have known I am diabetic type 2. My A1C was 7, but in 3 months I got it down to 6. I exercised hard for many months after I got the diagnosis. I was scared and still am. August 4th 2021 I was at my heaviest at 336lbs. I lost 25lbs in two months. Then a grand total of 49lbs. I got down to 281lbs. Then gained weight back to 287lbs.
I stopped exercising over the holidays
I have not exercised over the holiday season, and as of 1/22/2022 (today) I am around 290lbs. I noticed my blood sugars are higher now. The highest I caught my blood sugar was 205. So I better get back to exercising. I lost all this weight doing a form of the Keto diet. I basically eliminated a lot of carbs. No breads, no pastas, no sugars. I never was a sugar eater.
My ideal diet
I lost 49lbs by eating only lean meats, fruits, vegetables and drinking water. I sometimes treat myself with diet cokes. I drink maybe 6 of them in a row on certain days. Then I don’t have Diet Coke for a long period. I don’t eat any processed meats or canned soups. I wanted to try fish, but there is a lot of production that goes into cooking of fish. For what you eat in fish, its not worth it. Also a nice fillet of fish is not cheap.
Meats I like
I like lean, deli sliced turkey, chicken, or roast beef. I don’t eat hot dogs. Sometimes I treat myself to European smoked meats. That is every so often. We have a European store by us, that sells Serbian smoked meats. I sometimes splurge there. They also have this awesome tuna fish in a can packed in olive oil. The tuna fish is from Italy and is very fresh and non-fishy. Its the only tuna fish out of a can I will eat.
I have to start exercising again
So its late January 2022. I will have to get back in gear and start exercising again.
