I hate winter
Chicagoland winters
I hate winter. I grew up and still live in Chicagoland. Chicago winters are simply horrible. I have grown to hate winters in Chicagoland. I dislike snow, and driving in the snow. I hate salt on the roads and the gloomy-grey skies.
Where will I go?
Sometimes I get to thinking where I would want to live the rest of my life. I am 49 and my work history has been spotty. I currently am unemployed and don’t see myself going back into the work force. Since I live with my parents, I don’t have to pay rent or have a mortgage. I wonder where I will end up when I finally move away from my parents.
Living somewhere warm
I think I would like to live somewhere warm in the future. Will I stay in the US? If I stay in the US, I would like to live in the American Southwest or even California. However living in California is expensive. I think I am more likely to be living in Utah or New Mexico. I do like New Mexico because it is a Democratic state (at least for now). I also love Santa Fe, New Mexico. I see myself living there and growing old there.
The burning of Zozobra
One thing I want to see is the Burning of Zozobra in Santa Fe. One day I hope to be in Santa Fe, New Mexico when they have this festival. Also I love the plaza in Santa Fe. I love all the adobe buildings here.
